"Where Is Robin" a Book Review

"Where Is Robin" is a wonderful book for children, written by Robin Barone &
 illustrated by Robyn Mitchell.
In this darling and very educational book, little Robin bird tells her mom that she wants to see the world, but she will never forget home.  I love how Robin journey's all across the US to some of the most important towns and sites for anyone to see.  She begins her story in Philadelphia and tells of the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and the city of brotherly love.  All throughout this book the story is told in rhyming words which is fun to read.
Next Robin visits sites such as: Washington D.C., The Outer Banks, Nashville, Texas, Los Angeles, Colorado, New Orleans, The Florida Keys, New York and many more exciting places all across the U.S

During these visits she also mentions what these places are known for landmarks such as: the Presidents home, the Declaration of Independence, the Lone Star State, where the Wright Brothers flew the first airplane, about Abraham Lincoln ending the Civil War and freeing the slaves, Detroit's Motor City-Model T Cars and Motown, New York and the Statue of Liberty and she even rode a subway.
There are many more sites Robin saw and things she learned as she traveled the U.S. But, in the end she flew home to her mom and said she had such a great time that she was now planning to travel the world.
I loved the bright, educational book for several reasons.  I teach home school and this book fit perfectly in with my 3rd grader.  It was a fun way to learn about some of the most important facts of our country and where they took place.  If you teach home school I really recommend you add this book to your lesson plans.  If not, it is still a wonderful book for any child.  I read it to my 5 year old and he kept saying he wanted to go there and go there.
This hardback book is 52 pages and was honored by Mom's Choice Awards.  I loved the book myself and the pictures are bright and clear.  I would recommend this book to anyone of all ages and what a great book for kids when you are traveling.  This book is a Diplomat Book and you can purchase it on Amazon.com.
