The Confession on DVD
review
The sequel to the movie, The Shunning, will be released to the public on DVD June 11, 2013. The Confession is a film by Beverly Lewis and it is directed by Michael Landon Jr. After Katie Lapp finds out that she is adopted in Part 1 of this movie, she still feels the need to connect with her birth mother. Laura Mayfield - Bennett is also searching for her daughter that she gave up 20 years ago. Laura has just learned she has cancer and doesn't have long to live.
Katie, played by Katie Leclerc, has been raised by Amish parents. Her birth mother, Laura, played by Sherry Stringfield, is a successful business woman who really wants to find her daughter before she dies.
Laura's husband is a gamer and a drinker. When he finds out that Katie will receive all of Laura's money, he plots to keep Katie from her mom by letting Laura think someone else is her real daughter. He will try anything to keep Katie from receiving Laura's fortune she has made.
There are also others in Katie's life that try and help her find her mom while others scheme against her. This movie is a very touching family movie that was shown on the Hallmark Channel May 11 and will be available on DVD in June. This movie runs about 88 minutes.
I recommend The Confession to all my readers. I believe you will really like this movie as much as I did.
