"Patterns of Evidence - Exodus" on DVD Review/Giveaway

    I recently had the opportunity to review a very different kind of documentary film, "Patterns of Evidence - Exodus".  I wasn't quite sure what all the questions about the chapter in the Bible titled "Exodus", being fact or fiction, was about.  Of course to me, it is fact because I believe everything in the Bible to be written accurately at the right time and as it happened.  Little did I know before seeing this film, that there are many others, professional archeologist's, who are desperately trying to prove the time of the Exodus, as the Bible states, to be written in a completely different era in time.  This is where the film maker, Timothy Mahoney comes into play.
  Timothy Mahoney is a well known film maker and after the questions of Exodus were brought to his attention, he decided to travel to Egypt and find out for himself.  Here Timothy meets scholars, archeologist's, Rabbi's and others, all with different views and opinions on the time frame and happening of the Exodus as written in the Bible.  Timothy makes several trips, studies everyone's opinions, reviews findings and facts from now and many from professionals years ago.  


 To sum up the film, without telling you what Timothy Mahoney believes to be the truth, you will want to watch the film yourself.  But, I will conclude with the synopsis of this film:
  Some say that the archaeological record is completely opposed to the Bible's account.  This view of extreme skepticism has spread from academia to the world.  The case against the Exodus appears to be so strong that even some religious leaders are labeling this ancient account as historical fiction.  The result is the most in-depth archaeological investigation into the Exodus from Egypt ever captured on film.  This scientific documentary goal is to communicate the TRUTH of the Bible and help equip believers with defending their faith and the Bible.

  This documentary is very interesting.  I believe Bible believers everywhere will want to show this this film to non-believers.  Timothy Mahoney did an amazing job and much detailed work in the making of this film.  He said he felt led to find the answers and I believe he did.  You can purchase your own copy of "Patterns of Evidence - Exodus" on DVD now by pre-ordering it here or waiting to purchase it on Aug. 4th available on that website as well, for around $15.
