I reviewed a beautiful Spoon Rest from Emerson Creek Pottery. Emerson Creek Pottery is a company located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. At Emerson Creek everything is handmade and hand painted. The ceramics are made of clay onsite. Then each piece is hand painted and fired in a kiln.
The artists paint every design by hand, no stencils or patterns are used. The designs are practiced over and over until they have it right. No two designs are different or exactly the same either. There are 13 lines of their ceramic patterns. I chose to review the Pine cone design in the Spoon Rest.
