I remember my cousin thinking he was Superman when we were around 9 and 7.  My aunt took some red material and cut out a big S and sewed it onto his blue cape.  He would jump off anything taller than he was.  I thought that was the coolest thing!  Well, now I have long since grown up and have 8 grandchildren.  I have one grandson that is 7 and he loves any of the super hero's.  Superman is his favorite.  The cape is a necessity with all children playing superheros.  The place to get your child or grand child ect... a darling cape is PowerCapes.  They have them all.  From pink girlie ones to adult size.

I reviewed a cape that I was able to design myself, using their list of emblems.  I chose the red cape with a white lightening bolt on the back.  Brice, my grandson, loves it.  The only problem now is he continues to jump off my coffee table. :)
