"The Treasure Tree" Book Review/Giveaway

           

 "The Treasure Tree" is a book written by a father and daughter, Bruce and Vernae Ewing.   This fictional book is full of mysteries, faith, imagination and life lessons.  The story begins  when two young men travel a long way in search of wisdom to help their families who are suffering from no food and droughts.  Each boy needs to bring back help for the lands of their families or they may all die.

  The boys wander up to a tree where an old man is sitting beneath it.  The old man is named Jedidiah and he is a very old and wise man.  Many people have came in search of the old man's wisdom. Never have the boys seen a tree such as this tree.  The limbs stretch out and motion for the men to come over. Jedidiah asks the boys their names which are  Matt and Jackson and he welcomes them to stay the night.  Suddenly the tree opens a door for them to enter and Matt and Jackson can not believe the size of the house.  The rooms are large and the halls are long and full of beautiful decorations.  The old man tells the young men they can pick any room to stay in and they can take one treasure with them when they leave, but only one and it cannot be the Sun Stone.  Jedidiah also tells the boys they have to complete a task the next day to prove their truth.

The Book of African Proverbs Review/ Giveaway

   I recently reviewed a sweet, humorous, and very wise book of quotes.  This book is titled, "The Book of African Proverbs."   You will find 1,200 words and sayings in this book from the people of Africa, it's nation and people.

"Hello Kitty & Friends - Let's Learn Together" Collections 1 & 2 on DVD Review/Giveaway

  Nothing seems to amaze kids like a magic trick. When I first received this book I practiced a few tricks and I got the Great Straw Escape down and I was able to trick the kids.  The loved it and they  still can't figure it out. ha ha kids!
   The riddles and brainteasers are super fun.  I have one grandson that loves jokes and he loves the ones I ask him.  It's always fun to spend time with the grandchildren and getting them to laugh.

  The friends are having a super fun day when along comes a playful bird and snatches the magical wand away from Abby.  Now the comfy, enjoyable ride becomes a mad race to get the wand back.
  In order to get the wand back the friends have to meet new people, learn new cultures and  different ways of people's lives.  But, this has to be done to get the wand back home.

"The Cow Said Neigh!" A Farm Story by Rory Feek Book Review/ Giveaway

 
  Rory Feek  wrote the cutest book, which he dedicated to his little girl, Indiana.  "The Cow Said Neigh ! "  A Farm Story,  is about a farm of mixed up animals and it makes for quite a day.
  In the beginning of the story, the cow in the barn notices the horse in the field and he wishes he was the horse.  The next thing you know, the cow says, "neigh."   As the story goes on all different animals on the farm begin to make the sound of another farm animal. The duck says, "Baaa", the pig says, "Ruff ", the dog says, "Meow" and it goes on and on.

Paul Apostle Of Christ Movie Review/ Giveaway

  The story of Paul the Apostle of Christ is an amazing, truthful account of Paul's last days.  I was allowed to review this marvelous movie and I will say it is wonderful.  Paul, once Saul, who persecuted Christians, is imprisoned when the story begins.  You will see his last days and the effects of a great friend, Luke, who joins with him to write their story.  This movie goes exactly along with the Bible.
  James Faulkner plays Paul, Jim Caviezel plays Luke and it is written and directed by Andrew Hyatt.  This movie is 108 minutes long.
  Luke the evangelist enters Rome in secret just as he witnesses Christian victims being set ablaze as human torches to light the night-time streets. He has been sent by other Christian communities outside of Rome to meet with Paul the Apostle and persuade him to help in writing an account of his wisdom. Luke meets with Priscilla and Aquila, the leaders of the Christian community hiding out in the city, who are currently debating whether to stay in Rome and continue to provide hope to persecuted victims of Nero's pogrom or to leave Rome with their community to avoid certain death.
