Tan Towel Closed!
Lori Braun is the owner and president of Tan Towel. Lori had the desire to develop a product that would provide a healthy, natural looking glow that was simple to apply, odorless, no mess, and would not streak. She also wanted this to be a self-tanning product. In 2008, 10 years of the ever growing Tan Towel company celebrated their tremendous success as a leader in the tanning business.
Are you concerned with the sun's damaging rays and that every year more than a million people in the United States are diagnosed with the most common forms of skin cancer? The American Cancer Society estimates that about 1.3 million new cases of non-melanoma skin cancers will be diagnosed in the United States this year.
Ultraviolet (UV) radiation is the single most important cause of skin cancer, especially when overexposure results in sunburn and blistering.
Sunlight is beneficial and even necessary to life and good health. Tanning and burning, however, are not among those benefits -- there is no such thing as a "e;healthy tan."e;
Over the past decade, researchers have discovered that the tanning response begins only after DNA in skin cells has been damaged by exposure to sunlight. Although the exact wavelengths and timing of the solar radiation associated with different types of skin cancer are under investigation, the basic preventive lesson remains the same: protect your skin from the sun.
What about tanning beds? Are they safer than the sun? World Health Organization, concludes that tanning devices are more dangerous than previously thought. Exposure to UV radiation, whether from the sun or indoor tanning beds, can cause:
*Premature skin aging
*Eye damage (both short- and long-term)
I love to have a tan but the risks of tanning beds and suntanning are too scary. I was so excited to review the Tan Towels. I applied the towelette to my legs and arms. Each towelette is concentrated with a self-tan formula to give you a sun-kissed glow.
When using the towelette, use a circular motion over all areas you would like color to develop. You cannot go over an area too much, but if you miss an area no color will produce. Be sure you wash your hands with soap and water to keep the color from absorbing into the palm of your hands.
It took about 3-4 hrs. for the tan color to show up. I am medium skin toned so my tan is a light brown colored. This tan lasted about 6 days. I also used the moisturizer, On The Glow which Tan Towel provides, this helped preserve the color.
Tan Towels are sold in many of your local beauty supply stores such as Ulta Beauty. Check the store locator on their site to find a store nearby you. You can also order Tan Towels online and get them super fast.
I really recommend Tan Towels and On The Glow for anyone who is looking for a great looking tan without any danger to their health. And Tan Towels are very reasonably priced. 1- On the Glow (2oz) and 5-Tan Towels are sold for $22.00! What a great price!
