The Reason Book - 5 Winners! Review/Giveaway

The Reason  - 5 Winners!
Book  Review/Giveaway

"The Reason" written by William Sirls, is absolutely one of the most wonderful books that I have ever read.  This book will keep you on the edge of your seat and ready for the next chapter as soon as you finish the previous one.
Pastor Jim Lindy is a blind minister who is married to Shirley and they have an exceptional son named Charlie.  Charlie can't talk and he is a gentle giant with his height being nearly 7 feet tall.  Brooke is a single mom with a delightful, 5 year son named Alex and they live with the Lindy family.  The story begins with the cross at the Lindy's church being struck by lightening.  The cross is completely damaged.  After the news of the cross being struck reaches the local townspeople, 2 Dr.'s and a nurse try to see if they can help to have it repaired.  Kenneth is a carpenter who appears out of nowhere and repairs the cross like it was brand new.  Amazing things seem to take place when Kenneth is around and he knows information on each of the people he meets.

Without giving away what happens to the people in this book, I will just say that it had me crying like a baby at the end.  I cannot tell you how each of the people's lives are changed by Kenneth because it would ruin the book for you.
I know that this book made me really stop and think how truly thankful I am to have my family and their good health.  "The Reason" shows us God's never ending love for us and how we have to believe in      God' word and to trust his ways.
I believe you will find this book to be heartwarming and full of excitement from the beginning to the end.  I would rate "The Reason" as a #1 book in my choice of reads.  I loved it!

  4. I love books that take place in small towns like the one in which I grew up. I love how they usually show the beauty of a small community. "Small town, big family." :)

It sounds like a great story, too!

  6. I have read this book but on my Kindle. I would LOVE a signed hard copy so I can put it on my book shelf. It is a book that speaks to you long after you have read it. It is a salvation story told in a very unique way.

There are so many reasons... I want to read the book (of course), but I can pass it on to others. I can send it through my church and it can go into a prison library - this way many will be inspired by God and by what you have done with your time in prison & the remainder of your life. I want this book to have feet that reach out to often the unlovely in our world. God bless you for writing it (and changing yourself along with meeting the Father).

  12. Jolie and I are thinking along the same lines!! My stepson, who used to be very close to the Lord, became involved in drug and as a result is serving 3 years at a correctional facility here in Ohio. He is 19 years old, and as I read The Reason, I thought of him. I would like to have The Reason go to the correctional facility in Marion, Ohio, so my stepson can remember to "only believe".
