The Last Unicorn [The Enchanted Edition] DVD Review/Giveaway

Based on the worldwide bestselling novel by Hugo-Award winning author Peter S. Beagle, The Last Unicorn boasts an all-star vocal cast, featuring the talents of Jeff Bridges, Alan Arkin, Mia Farrow, Angela Lansbury  and Rene Auberjonois , as well as unforgettable original music by Jimmy Webb, performed by the band America, and animation by the Japanese artists who later became the core of Hayao Miyazaki’s Studio Ghibli.
One day the unicorn learns that she may be the last of her kind on Earth.  This really worries her so she goes on a quest to find out if there are any more unicorns like herself left in the world.  This trip is soon full of unpredicted things as she comes to meet  the evil King Haggard and his Red Bull.  The poor unicorn is so worried and doesn't know how the get away from the bad things King Haggard has in store for her.  There is a spell cast that turns the unicorn into a beautiful young woman so she can be protected from the King's madness.

The young woman the unicorn is turned into, is named Amalthea.  Amalthea meets the King's son and she soon finds herself in love with him.  Now Amalthea really doesn't know what to do.  With the help of some new friends, Schmendrick the magician and Molly Grue, Amalthea is able to defeat the horrible King and his Red Bull.

  1. I'd certainly like to see the movie Littlest Pet Shop: Paws For Applause. My grandson would love it!
