Welcome Back, Kotter - The Final Season on DVD Review

Who doesn't remember tuning into ABC one night a week for many years through the 1970's to a great show, Welcome Back, Kotter?  Well, if you grew up during this time I am sure most of you did.  I know my family never missed an episode of Welcome Back, Kotter.  This zany comedy was about a teacher who tries to teach some of the school's most difficult kids the basics of education and they end up becoming more than just students and a teacher - they become involved in each others lives and great friends. "Welcome back, your dreams were your ticket out, welcome back"- I loved that theme song!
I was allowed to review Welcome Back, Kotter- The Final Season on DVD from Shout! Factory and I loved it!  This season of the show lasted from 1978 - through 1979.  This show featured most everyone who ever starred on the sitcom such as : Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, Robert Hegyes, John Sylvester White, Marcia Strassman, Ron Palillo and John Travolta and of course Gabe Kaplan as Mr. Kotter.

The Sweathogs are together gain and they have invited a new member to their gang, "Beau" - Stephen Shortridge.  Mr. Kotter is now the Vice Principal which doesn't please most of the gang.  But, there are some new changes in some of the old characters, one being Horshack who got married.
Who can forget Horshacks goofy laugh, Juan's made-up school absences signed always by" Juan's mother" ?  John Travolta was girl crazy and Washington always had a joke.  Mr. Kotter could never leave school at school because the Sweathogs were always showing up at his home with their problems.
You will love all 23 episodes in this 4 disc - 9.2 hours of delightful, funny, clean humor.  Let the Final Season take you back to the 70's when T.V shows were good and fitting for the whole family.  You can order this movie and many more from the Shout!Factory website.  Check out the video below as a reminder of a great T.V sitcom and order yours today!
