Based on the Bible lesson of unconditional love, Beauty and the Beet - A Lesson in Unconditional Love, shows children that we still love everyone no matter how they treat us. Kelly Pickler is the voice of Mirabelle and she and her family get trapped in a snowstorm on the way to a concert. The Veggie Tunes stay in a run down motel where they have to sing for their supper and clean the motel too. The motel is run by a very grumpy, Mr. Beet.
Staying in the motel ends up bringing the best out in everyone as Mirabelle even tries to teach Mr. Beet to sing. Grumpiest gets the best of him, but only after he begins to feel the warmth of the music in his heart.
In this movie there are silly songs from Larry about the story of mac and cheese, rightfully titled, "Mac and Cheese." The colors are bright and the voices are darling. I love my grandchildren watching this movie, and all the VeggieTales, because the lessons are good and the teachings are perfect. I just know your children will love it as well as mine did. You can purchase this VeggieTales dvd, and all their wonderful movies, on Amazon for the low price of only $9.93. Also sold at Wal-Mart, Target and book stores everywhere.
