   In the treehouse, Colton went over to the shelf, took down 11 boxes of cereal, and put them on the command chair. Then he went over and started the generator, turned on the television, and sat down in the chair. He took the dragon glasses out of his shirt pocket and put them on then opened up the handheld typewriter and typed in Dragon Land, and pushed enter.   I just read the best book titled, "There"s A Monkey In My Backpack".  This book touched home to me because I have a grandson, that I raise, who has a sensory disorder and this makes it hard for him to "fit in" with school and things like sports ect...
  Anna goes to school and unlike the other 3rd  graders in her class, Anna has a monkey in her backpack.  The monkey tries  to get Anna in trouble in class and to get her to do disruptive things.  The monkey also helps Anna do good things and to complete her work.  You see the monkey is actually a learning disorder and Anna is afraid she will not finish the 3rd grade.

   We have all heard the song, now we can see the story behind it.  "I Can Only Imagine"  is a true story about forgiveness and understanding how people overcome bad things in their life.  This true story of Bart Miller, and his troubled life.  Starring Dennis Quaid as Bart's abusive father and Trace Adkins as Bart's road manager, you will watch young 11 year old Bart try to understand why his mother leaves him and why his dad is so mean to him.  Bart begins writing words down saying he could only imagine if his life were different.
  Bart and his band Mercy Me head out on the road singing their songs.  Bart listens to his road manager, Trace Adkins and starts telling the story of his life and he wrote the song , "I Can Only Imagine" in 10 minutes.

"The Satellite Girl and Milk Cow" movie on DVD -- Review/Giveaway

"Smurfs The Lost Village" Movie Review/Giveaway for 2 Tickets

  Our all time favorite little blue friends are here in a new movie titled, "Smurfs, The Lost Village"  This movie is such a family oriented movie that even the themes of the scenes are Biblical oriented.  You will find Smurfette taking a thrilling ride through the Forbidden Forest.  Along with her best friends Brainy, Clumsy and Hefty, Smurfette encounters mysterious creatures as she tries to find the lost village before the evil Gargamel does.  Smurfette is played by Demi Lavato and Smurfwillow is played by Julia Roberts.
  Smurfette has a lack of identity and doesn't really know who she is.  Just as some of us don't really know what we really are meant for, we are all God's handiwork and we are defined by those we are not, by what we are or what we have done.  Just by following Jesus defines us as who we are.
  Smurfette is actually very brave and she leads her friends through the forest. The Bible tells us to be strong and courage and to not be afraid in the book of Joshua.  Smurfette is very much a warrior.
  Papa Smurf raises 99 boy Smurfs and one girl Smurf in their Smurf village and he thought the girl would be easy, but Smurfette is full of energy and strong willed. Soon though, Smurfette found other girls in the lost village that she saves.

Laura's Story - "Open Hands" Gospel CD Review/Giveaway

 Grammy Award winning Laura Story is a songwriter, speaker, author, artist, worship leader and mom.  Her solo artist music debuted in 2008 with , " Great God Who Saves.", led to 4 Dove Awards Nominations .  "Open Hands" is the follow-up to 2013's, accrediated aclaim, "God of Every Story."
  Since then Laura has given birth to a set of twins, and she already had a little girl - making her a family of 5 now,
  I love the story Laura tells about the meaning of the title, "Open Hands".  Lara explains how during worship we hold our hands open , not as clenched fists.  She states ,"with open hands we submit our pain , our sorrows , and we surrender our most broken things as an act of worship".  How amazing is that?  

Reba McEntire- "Sing It Now - Songs of Faith and Hope" CD Review/ Giveaway

  I received a wonderful CD from Capital Christian Marking by the artist Reba McEntire.  I was already a fan of Reba's country music, but this gospel album is amazing.  "Sing It Now- Songs of Faith and Hope" is awesome!
 This CD is full of old Highway Hymnals we sing at our little country church each Sunday.
Songs such as, "Softly and Tenderly", "In the Garden", "Amazing Grace",  "How Great Thou Art" and many more beautiful songs.  All these songs are sung delicately and sweet except when Reba speeds things up a little with the gospel hit, "Oh Happy Day".
  I could listen to these songs all day long.  I keep it in my CD player, in the car, and it stays on whenever I'm driving.  
 Trisha Yearwood and Kelly Clarkson join in with Reba on the song, "Softly and Tenderly."
 This album has 20 songs and one of them is Reba's latest hit song, "Back to God".  Listen to a clip of the song below:

"Country Crush" on DVD Review/Giveaway

    March 14 will be the release date for a new musical movie, "Country Crush", about a family in a small town and their lives.  (Jana Kramer), Katherine, has recently said goodbye to her husband who just left her and her son for his deployment in the Middle East.  Katherine worries and is anxious to have her husband back home.
  Katherine's brother- in -law, Charlie, (Munro Chambers) has just met a city girl, Nancy Taylor, (Madeline Merlo).  When her car breaks down and Charlie Bishop shows up, Nancy and her friend, Ainsley, (Sophie Tweed Simmons) are headed to a party in the country.  Charlie shows up to tow their car and sparks automatically fly between Charlie and Nancy.

"The Student Body " on DVD Review/Giveaway

   We live in a country where bullying has been addressed by parents, schools and the media.  We just elected a president who's wife is expected to take a stand on bullying across our nation.  But, with all this talk and "supposed" help to stop bullying, what would you do if your child's school sent home at letter stating that because of their BMI - (Body Mass Index) they were too fat?  BMI is the measurement of one's body mass which actually people like school officials are not able to tell the difference between fat mass and muscle mass and this ends up putting perfectly healthy children to be registered as fat.  The worse part is this "fat letter" which was sent to the schools is coming directly from our United States Government.  
   I received a movie to review from EdifyMovies titled, "The Student Body" and it is amazing.  A story of guts and determination!

My Little Pony - "Friendship Magic" on CD review/giveaway

  Another great movie from Shout!Kids Factory that I recently reviewed was My Little Pony - "Friendship Magic".
  This is another darling sequel to the other My Little Pony movies.  In this movie the group are exploring the Crystal Empire.  Watch as the princess, Twilight Sparkle, and her besties - Rainbow Dash, AppleJack, Rarity, Shutterfly, Pinkie Pie and Spike journey through the magical kingdom. Twilight has to keep an eye out in the kingdom for spies. Twilight also takes on the job to help an old friend learn what friendship means. 

Kari Jobe - "The Garden " CD Review/Giveway

   Kari Jobe just released her latest album, " The Garden " on 2/3/17 and it is a beautiful CD.  My favorite song is, "The Garden", but all the songs are wonderful.  
   Kari's "The Garden Tour" begins Feb. 19 at the Special Album Release Night of Worship at War Memorial Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.  She will then continue on to 30 more concerts, ending in Memphis, Tennessee on April 9.
  This album is definitely God inspired and Kari says she felt his inspiration throughout the writing and making of each song.  She also says she hopes that everyone who listens to this album will find their own garden in their heart.
