"Gus' Fortunate Misfortune " Book Review with 2 Giveaways

  Gus is a darling little mouse that finds himself scared to death in a home where he doesn't know where to find food or a safe place to live.  Gus attempts to find food and he runs into a human that doesn't quite know how to help the mouse. The boy Jamyang is a practicing Buddhist who know he must learn patience and how to sit still.  "Gus' Fortunate Misfortune" is  written Susan Pepka.

   Through the story you also see Jamyang practice patience as he watches and waits on the mouse to make his way safely through the home.  The mouse also remembers being told by his mom to wait and watch for the right moment to make a move.

   This is a delightful, hardback book that is perfect for families to read to their little ones.  It teaches the Buddhist way which seems to be a religion of coming to terms with their own mental capabilities.  I am not a Buddhist , but this book seems perfect for any religion.  It is a happy book and explains self control.
