Musician Shelly E. Johnson just released her new Christmas album on Oct. 20. Shelly truly has a voice of an angel and the story behind her faithfulness in God is really astounding. "Christmas Is Beautiful" is the new album.
When Shelly was 14 her dad died a week after Christmas and her family endured many sad Christmases in the years that followed. But, Shelly says with years she has had the faith and strength of God to get through her loss. When she wrote this new album she has hope for all families who also experience sad, hard times and the words of her songs will be a fresh reminder of the goodness in life.
Shelly said writing the songs for this album was a uniquely different experience than she did when writing her other albums. She wanted all the songs to be about telling the story of Christmas in a unique and fresh way. Telling the idea of God, the Creator of the Universe, becoming a tiny embryo, being born as a baby, living a human life, all for the purpose of giving His life for us to save us from ourselves and reconcile with Himself. Shelly hopes this album will bring the Gospel to life in a unique way for someone who may not know how much God loves them.

There are 13 songs on this beautiful Christmas album. Some you will know and some are newly written by Shelly. I love Christmas time and having recently lost my daughter, nearly 3 years ago, I felt a healing touch through this album. Nothing is more blessing than God sending Jesus to save us all and the story of Christmas is pure love.
