The Promise on DVD review/giveaway

 I reviewed a great DVD with my grandchildren just in time for Christmas - The Promise.  The Promise is a wonderful animated musical that is perfect for young viewers to understand about the birth of our savior.


 This beautiful story comes from the Bible and the Gospel of Luke.  The birth of the Messiah is told through story and song beginning with God telling Mary that she will give birth to the savior, Jesus Christ.  In this video you can feel the love as Mary and Joseph excitingly await the birth of their son. The journey that leads to the Messiah's birth is very hard on this young couple because they are living during the days of King Herod, a very mean king in ancient Israel.  Trusting God's promise is something Mary and Joseph must do until the birth.
