The Boxcar Children is a wonderful movie about 4 orphaned children: Henry, Jessie, Violet and Benny, who become orphaned and have to begin living life on their own. The children find an old boxcar and begin fixing it up to live in. Henry finds work in town with a Dr. and takes his pay to fix up the boxcar with plates, cups and more. Soon they have the boxcar looking like a home. The only person they know that is left kin to them is their mean grandfather.
I reviewed this delightful movie and my grandaughter was super excited to watch this film. Below is Taylor holding my copy of The Boxcar Children:
As the life goes on for the 2 brothers and the 2 sisters, they become accustomed to living in the boxcar and they love their life. One day Violet becomes very sick and has to be taken to the Dr. The Dr. contacts the grandfather and he meets his grandchildren. The grandfather moves the children into his house and they become a great family. There is a big surprise at the end when the children's boxcar gets moved into the grandfather's backyard.
