Glimmer Girls Book Series (2 Books) Review/ Giveaway

The Glimmer Girls is a series of books written by Natalie Grant.  It is based on 3 little girls who travel with their singing mom and all the adventures they encounter on every trip, even learning about the things around them.  These books are very similar to the girls real life. Glimmer is the family's last name and it has a special meaning - the light that is never extinguished. The light may glimmer brighter or glimmer dimmer, but it never goes out.  Natalie said this meaning is something she wanted her girls to get out of these books.  She teaches the girls that Jesus gives us all a light and some days may be better than others , but that light he gave them will never go out.

The London Art Chase is the first book I read.  Meet Mia & Maddie 10 year old twins and their little sister LuLu as they go on tour with their singer mom, Gloria Glimmer and their nanny - Miss Twist.
In London the girls learn so much about the country and the people of it.  Did you know why the London police are called bobbies?  They are because a man started the establishment and his name was Robert - Bobby is short for Robert.  Also the Big Bend Clock was named after it's inventor who's name was Ben.  The girls also visit an art museum which is wonderful for Maddie because she loves art.  While in the museum Maddie witnesses what she believes to be a art thief steal a very expensive picture.  She convinces her sisters and Miss Twist to go after the thief.  Through adventurous situations the girls learn more than they expect.
The next book I read was A Dolphins Wish.  Mia loves animals and she convinces Miss Twist to take her and her sisters to an educational amusement park  while they are on a short 3 day stop in San Diego.  Here Mia overhears the park people talking about people letting some of the animals escape. While in the "Watery World" the girls begin to search for clues and reasons why anyone would want to let any of these animals loose.  This book is full of excitement and fun.
These books are great for girls aged 8-12 years old, but my grandaughter is 7 and she loved reading them.  I love that these books are centered around Jesus and morals.  The mom teaches her girls about setting good examples, not to lie and to make good decisions.  Your child will love these books, they are hard to put down.
