Cooper and Me is a great book for children. Parents will love the meaning of the story and will also enjoy sharing this book with their children.

Illustrated by 11 year old Alexa Peters and co-written by her mother, Monique Peters this book was inspired by Alexa's own experience with her first day of school.

Alexa is frightened and nervous about going to school and she is sad because she can't take her best friend Cooper to school with her.  Cooper is a Labrador Retriever.

This story helps young children understand about fear of separation and the anxiety of trying new things.  

Alexa’s own story had a “happy ending” – a clever, compassionate solution that involved taking a small replica of her beloved pet to school with her.

There will be four more story books  set to publish throughout the next twelve months, all containing relatable life lessons inspired by Alexa’s experiences, with illustrations based on her drawings of Cooper.

This book is also a help to children who are less fortunate than Alexa.  A portion of their proceeds of the book sales goes to the Happy Hearts Fund, which is founded and run by Petra Nemcova. Happy Hearts improves the lives of children through education and sustainable programs in natural disaster areas.

This story is sad,funny,and happy all in one. I believe all children will love this book, I know my grandaughter did. The book is awesome and the illustrations will amaze you.

I recommend Cooper and Me to all families.
