Musical Education and Your Child
Did you know that children who study music and take music lessons, score higher on reading and math tests? I homeschool my 5 year old grandson and music is a big part of my lesson plan. Not only does it bring out the creative side of my grandson, Brinner, it also teaches him to count, read, and listen more. Music is a huge part of my life and I love bringing it into Brinner's.
One day we may spend making musical instruments from household items such as; a guitar from an empty cereal box, or a drum from a Crisco can. Not only can Brinner plays these later, it also uses his creative mind to make the instrument by coloring, painting and gluing them.
