“Virtuous” Movie Review/ Giveaway
"Virtuous" is a new movie due to be released on DVD June 2nd. I was allowed to review this movie early and to pass my opinions on to you. I loved this movie! It stars Erik Estrada, Brandy Allen and Jessica Lynch. I give it 5 stars~ *5 being the highest.
In this movie Erik Estrada stars as Jack Evans, an attorney still grieving over his deceased daughter when a former drug addict, Simone Burner (Brandy Allison), seeks his help to defend her in a murder trial. Simone is accused of killing Patrick Walters (Ben Davies, “Courageous”), a young man from an esteemed and wealthy family. Simone’s claim of self-defense is overshadowed by her troubled past.

Daisy, A Hen Into The Wild Film Review
Daisy, A Hen Into The Wild is an adorable film that has been showing in Korea as a top film and it has grossed over 2 million tickets sold. Based on the book, A Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly, by Oh Sung-Yoon, this animated film is coming to North America on iTunes and VOD in September.
Daisy is a hen who hates being caged. She longs to be free on a farm and raise little chickens. One day Daisy tricks the farmer to get out of the hen house and she is free at last. But, being free can mean some scary things. Daisy soon finds out that everyone doesn't also accept ones that are different.
Once Daisy is free to see the world she meets a mean weasel who wants to make a meal from her. Daisy is saved by the Wanderer, Wilson, the duck. The weasel ends up killing Wilson's duck mate who was about to hatch their young. Daisy takes over the job of sitting on the egg and soon little Willy hatches out. Willy believes Daisy is his mother and together they set off to find the Everglades. Wilson told Daisy to take the young one there as soon as it is born. The old weasel also kills Wilson. When they reach the Everglades Willy sees he is different from his mom because he is surrounded by other ducks. Even though Daisy loves Willy she knows she must let him find his true self.

"Rust" Dvd Review/Giveaway Closed!
"Rust" DVD Closed!
Review/Giveaway
"Rust" is an exceptionally great movie! I am so glad Rodney and Provident Films asked me to review this film for them. I didn't expect this movie to be as good as it was by just reading the back of the case. I did not move from my seat from the beginning till the end.
When the story first begins Jimmy,( Corbin Bernsen) the main character questions God about why he doesn't show him the answers to the reasons things happen the way they do in life. Jimmy is a minister who decides to quit preaching and return to the town that he grew up in. Jimmy has been gone from this town and his family for several years.
Once returning to Kipling, Jimmy finds out there has been a local tragedy, claiming the lives of a new family, and that his childhood friend has been perceived the cause of it.
By searching out the truth, Jimmy not only finds the true answers but the true answers he has been searching for inside himself.
"Rust" has a true meaning that is brought out in the end. This story deals with human compassion and sacrifice just as Jesus himself sacrificed his life for ours. Excellent meaning-excellent acting-excellent movie.
I would recommend this story for every family to watch together.

"The Way Home" DVD Review/Giveaway Closed!
"The Way Home" DVD
Review/Giveaway Closed!!!
"The Way Home " is about a a husband and father torn between the demands of his job and family. Asked by his wife to watch their two-year-old son, Joe, for a few minutes, he becomes distracted by work. When he returns, Joe is gone. He and his wife search desperately for their missing son through the vast countryside. But as their fear grows, the community responds – hundreds of supporters uniting behind the family in a powerful spiritual journey that will test the couple’s love and faith, and forever change a community.
When Randy (DEAN CAIN) thinks his son is gone forever he asks God to bring him home. Hundreds of the neighbors hunt for Joe. They form prayer chains and prayer circles. A certain neighbor really takes Joe's disapearence as a personal indevour. He is determined to find little Joe.
The film was completed on time and on budget. Once post-production was completed, THE WAY HOME screened at the historic Fox Theater in Atlanta attended by more than three thousand people. The film was a big hit with the audience. Randy Simpkins says, "An overwhelming number of people came up to me after viewing the film and thanked me for sharing my testimony, and let me know that the message of the film -- to make your faith, family and community the top priorities in your life , which is the same lessons that God taught me that day -- really spoke to them and made them reconsider how they were living their lives".
It is that type of reaction that the Simpkins family hoped for in agreeing to have their personal testimony made into a film, and one that also makes the filmmakers grateful for having had the opportunity to do so.
"The Way Home" is a good family movie about just that-family. I believe it could have had a little more detail such as more into the characters lives. It was kind of lacking something. But all in all, "The Way Home" makes you think about life and your family and how easiliy you can lose them.

"Bringing Up Bobby" DVD Review/Giveaway Closed!
"Bringing Up Bobby" DVD Closed!
Review/Giveaway
"Bringing Up Bobby" is a different kind of comedy about being kind of different. Finally there is a great funny movie for Christian families to enjoy!
I was so excited when Rodney and Provident Films ask me to review this movie.
"Bringing Up Bobby" is a hilarious movie about a family with a zany sense of humor. The cast of this family are all coming together to read their parents Will when, seeking Christ ends up being the final reason for being together.
The casts of charactors include:
James is the big brother. He has spent the last twelve years raising his siblings, which meant skipping college and staying away from the ladies. From boxing matches to serious talks while dressed in costume, he knows how to make parenting fun. A goofball around women, nobody knows what will happen now that he has a crush on his sister's lawyer.
Bobby is about to turn 16 and still very unsure of how to really act in life. He is shy and willing to change his image to impress. Much like his older brother, Bobby is awkward around girls. That could be because Bobby is unsure of who he is and what he believes about God. But James is determined to change Bobby's ways.
Dennis is on the run from a group of "antichrists" to whom he owes a great deal. He is coming home in hopes to aquire a great deal of money to pay off the bad guys. In the end he pays off a different kind of debt.
Liz is the new girl in town. She is a strong Christian and believes in encouraging others to follow after the Lord.
Terry is a smart, beautiful young lawyer with a quick wit and a ready smile. She has a less-than-secret crush on James.
Eric, Bobby's best friend, is a Goth teenager with a tough life. Taking responsibility for his alcoholic mother often keeps him up late at night, which means he is falling behind at school. But Eric's sense of humor allows him to fit in well with James and Bobby, even as he looks toward an uncertain future.
Andrea is a shopaholic who delights in pushing around the men in her life. She uses her charm, whit, and legal power to wrap people around her fingers. Her taste in gaudy clothing and the finer things in life make her hard to miss. Not given to manual labor, she happily pushes work onto her husband, Walter. Andrea will stop at nothing to get everything she wants.
Walter is the husband to Andrea who barely gets to utter a word of his own opinion and is used to Andrea telling him what to do.
Altogether this funny and different family work together through all their complete differences and in the end God is victorious in each of their lives.
I really liked this movie. It teaches that money isn't everything but that family and a good relationship with Christ is what matters most!
