The Newest Fingerling - GiGi the Unicorn Review

  The newest craze are the Fingerlings.  Fingerlings are adorable little animals that fit on the fingers, they coo, giggle and sing.  I was lucky enough to review the new one - GiGi the Unicorn Fingerling and she is darling!  My grandson helped me review this precious little toy and he loved it!

How I Teach my Children Not to Beg for Toys and to be Grateful For What they Have Review

   Having a child throw temper tantrums for a new toy, in a store is not anything a parent wants to see happen.  I will tell you how I have stopped this from happening.  One- my children are in church regularly and they have studied about children in other countries who have no toys at all and even children in our missions across the seas who are lucky to get a box of toys because the shipping is so costly.  We have watched videos at our church and talked about how lucky we are here in America to have toys in most all stores and how easy it is to purchase them.  Second-I have had my kids give something of their own to others on holidays so they can understand the reason for giving and why it is important to share with those less fortunate.
   Another way to keep your child from wanting  toys is to check out Pley.  Pley lets your child choose from over 500 toys.  Just let your child pick out a toy and for a very small monthly payment, you can order the toy to come in the mail and they can play with it as long as they want and when they are through they just simply send it back and choose another toy.
  Pley allows your child to understand that one toy is enough and by playing with only one toy your child gets plenty of play out of it.  When they tire of it  just order another one and play with it for awhile.  By renting these toys your child will also get a chance to play with toys you, as a parent might not be able to afford to buy.

Organizing All Those Christmas Toys - How Do We Do It?

   Christmas is over and now we parents have to figure out how in the world we are going to organize all these toys!!!  The picture above is not my actual home, but I can say it does look very similar and I needed help trying to make this room look like a bedroom again instead of the remains from a hurricane.  The hardest problem is where to put all the small sets of toys that this OCD mom can't stand to have missing pieces.

   Legos, Dino sets, Hot Wheels, art supplies and Barbie accessories are some of the hardest toys to keep separated, but all together as sets.  I went out and bought about 20 mini plastic baskets at the dollar store and I was able to put the art supplies Dino Sets and Legos in these.  When buying a basket for your Lego's, I suggest buying ones with no holes or if they have holes make sure they are very small so the Lego's won't come through the basket.

   I was recently allowed to review the coolest bike for my 2 year old grandson Braxton.  This bike is a Velocity No Pedal Children's Bike.  The way the child rides the bike is by learning to balance it. 
  This bike is so easy to assemble, no tools needed.  Just adjust the seat and your child will be riding off down the driveway in no time.
