   I am so in love with this book, "The Parents' Guide to Baby - Led Weaning" by Jennifer House MSc, RD!   Where was it when I had little babies?  I definitely could have used this book and saved a lot of uneaten baby jarred foods and money.
  Baby - Led Weaning is skipping the mush and feeding your baby finger foods, right from the start.  This means your baby doesn't have to eat processed, pureed foods, instead they get simple, but whole and healthy foods from the beginning.  No more buying or making foods and having to spoon feed your baby.
  To begin baby - led weaning make sure your baby has the physical strength and signs of readiness to feed themselves before you get started.  You need to focus on iron-rich foods.  This will be a messy experience, but worth all the mess.

Handsocks - Review/Giveaway

  Handsocks are adorable sock - looking mittens that Casey Bunn invented after her daughter complained of cold hands and Casey had forgotten to pack them.  This lead Casey to put a pair of her ski socks on her little girl's hands and wah-la!  Handsocks were invented!
  I was lucky enough to review a pair of these amazing Handsocks.  With our first snowy weather headed this way, this weekend - they will sure come in handy.  Below is my grandson wearing the pink Handsocks.  (I know he is a boy, but they sent me pink, so whatever - they work)

"Alison's Choice" DVD Review/Giveaway

 

  "Alison's Choice" is a film about life and it is amazing!  I don't believe I have watched such a touching movie, as this one, in a long time.  This movie needs to be shown to young people, guys as well as girls, all over the world.  Giving life a chance versus abortion is the main story line of this show.

  Alison finds herself pregnant by her boyfriend, Rick, who immediately wants her to get an abortion.  He makes Alison feel that if she keeps the baby their relation will suffer from it.  Rick is a deadbeat who thinks of no one, but himself.

  Alison registers at the abortion clinic and she meets all kinds of people there.  One girl is about to have her 3rd abortion, a mom of 2 that has decided she doesn't want the baby she is now carrying, a caring receptionist, a nurse who loves her job way to much and a Dr. that tries to convince Alison her baby is not yet a living thing.  But, the most important person Alison meets is the janitor, who is actually God.  The janitor reveals himself to Alison to try and persuade her to keep her baby.  He tells her the baby is a girl and actually let's her see the baby inside her.  Alison is more afraid of losing Rick and she keeps hoping he will change his mind about the abortion, but he doesn't.

Water Wipes @ Walmart Review/ Giveaway

   How many times have you used a wipe on your baby's bottom or face and it would start turning red?  My kids all have sensitive skins and this has happened many times.  I had a few moms come over for coffee and we all discussed this happening to our children.  I gave all the moms a package of  Water Wipes and let them try a package for a week.  Every mom came back and said how they loved Water Wipes!  Each one said there was no redness, rash or irritated skins on their children.

 A  LatchPal is a mom invented, for moms, clip for when you are breastfeeding your baby.  I wish this would of been around when I was nursing my babies.  My shirt was always falling down in their little faces.  This is the greatest invention since sliced bread to a breastfeeding mom because now you have both hands to help hold baby's head in place and the other hand to hold onto their bodies. 

 The LatchPal can also double as a pacifier holder or you could link your key ring on it so they don't get lost.

The Flying Squirrel PJ- Giraffe Print Review

 When Brett and Stephanie Parker had their daughter Charlotte, they like most parents, swaddled her in a blanket at night.  Then one night the swaddling blanket came undone and baby Charlotte was no longer sleeping through the night, and neither were Brett and Stephanie.  Stephanie sat at her sewing machine and made her first Zipadee-Zip slumber sack and it worked - Charlotte was sleeping all night again and so were mom and dad.
  As Charlotte grew, Stephanie wanted something for Charlotte to sleep in that would grow with her. Hence - The Flying Squirrel Pajama.  These PJ's are designed to go up to size 5T and has the same general shape as the Zipadee-Zip, but it has OPTIONAL HAND AN FOOT COVERINGS!  The fit is designed to be baggy.

 How many times have you had your baby dressed precious and you take them out for everyone to see how cute they are, and you smell something - look under their clothes and you find - poo everywhere?!!  This has happened to me many times with 3 children.  It would literally be up their backs nearly to their neck.  I would then have to totally undress them, removing the soiled, wet clothing and stinky diaper, and then re-dress them all over again.  Finding a bag to carry all this wet mess in is the next dilemma. Wow babies are fun :)
